About this plan
A large part of the New Testament is letters, written to real congregations and people about real questions. This plan reads twenty-one of them in thirty days, from Romans to Jude, in the order they stand in the New Testament.
Romans takes the first two days, followed by 1 and 2 Corinthians and then Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians and Colossians. The shorter letters to the Thessalonians, to Timothy and to Titus come next, the one-chapter letter to Philemon falls on day 20, and Hebrews, James, Peter, John and Jude close the month.
The days are uneven by design: day 1 is eight chapters of Romans, while day 29 is a single short chapter of 3 John. Read each as a letter, in one sitting, aware of the people who first received it. Hebrews does not name its author, and this plan reads it alongside the others without settling the question.
