About this plan
Everyone is tempted, and so was Jesus. This plan reads a week of passages about temptation from every side: how people fell, how others stood, and what God provides for the person under pressure. It is frank about money, power and desire, and it keeps returning to grace.
Day 1 sets the first temptation in Genesis 3 beside James 1. On day 2 Israel is tested in the wilderness in Deuteronomy 8, the passage Jesus quotes when he is tempted in Matthew 4. Day 3 is Joseph running from Potiphar’s wife and the warning of Proverbs 7, and day 4 Achan’s theft and Paul on the love of money. Day 5 is David and Bathsheba, with Psalm 51, a way back. Day 6 reads Proverbs 1 and 1 Corinthians 10, where God is faithful and provides a way out, and the week ends with Romans 6, Galatians 5 and Psalm 1.
If you are caught in a pattern you cannot break, tell someone you trust. Temptation grows best in secret.
